It's Black Friday Y'all...

I don't know about y'all, but if you're reading this I've already been out and about shopping for hours!
Black Friday is one of my favorite days of the year BECAUSE...I spend endless hours with some of my favorite people laughing, eating, laughing, shopping, laughing...I mean we don't just go for the "deals"...it's seriously some of the best "girl-time" we have all year.  We laugh at everything...and I mean everything...So. Fun.

Anyway, I'm throwing a sale in my store, PLUS dig through my store to find some amazing half-price deals.
I thought it would be fun to jump in on all the fun and give you some "Lowest Prices Ever" kind of deals today!
Happy Friday and Roll Tide!

Try It Tuesday

Happy Veteran's Day!

I'm back with another Try It Tuesday.  I had some great feedback on my Letter Mm Beginning Sound sort a couple months ago and a ton of requests to make sound sorts for each letter.  Well, your request is granted!

I love doing sound sorts at the rug with my kiddos as well as at my teacher table for small groups.  It's a great quick assessment to see where your students stand on initial sounds and other skills as well.  Here's one of our sound sorts in action.

I started with these cute little monster bags from Dollar Tree and added labels to them.
Each child gets one or two picture cards depending on the number of students playing.
(please excuse the blurry pictures)
 And...the sound sorting fun begins!

You can find these sound sorting picture cards for FREE HERE.
Go ahead and try it!
If you'd like to see the other sound sorts click HERE.
Thanks, as always, for visiting my blog!

Try it Tuesday and Randomness

Hi friends!  It's Tuesday...almost mid-week.  Can you believe it's November?!?!  I can't believe I'm teaching my littles about Thanksgiving already!  My baby girl turned 8 this weekend!  What?  She cannot be 8!  We had so much fun at our outdoor (moved to indoor) Ella Enchanted Evening party!  If you wanna see a little of that randomness follow me on Instagram HERE.

Keeping with all the randomness I had a hodgepodge of photos I wanted to share with y'all.  Keep reading for a fun treat!

Last week we wrote about what we were dressing up as for Halloween...

We made these cutie little Life Cycle of a Pumpkin books...Not sure where the pictures came from...I've had them for years!

Have you read Crankenstein by Samantha Berger?  It's adorable!  Great for talking about feelings and it's just plain fun.  We made these Crankensteins and made a class chart about what makes us cranky and what makes us happy.
Don't judge the last minute chart...;)
Aren't these adorable?  Love how funky they are.  We read Too Many Pumpkins by Linda White...like we do every year.  I absolutely love that book...it's at the top of the list of my favorite fall books.  Then, we wrote about what we wouldn't like too many of and what we would love too many of.
Here's our "after Halloween" hall display...oh well.
Now for the treat.  We are loving our hands-on math journals and I want you to be able to try it out for yourself if you want.  Here's a couple of examples of ones we have done...numbers 5 & 6.  I like how there's several things the students have to think about for a particular number.  I also like how this can be an independent activity once they learn how to complete the page.

Wanna try these in your classroom?  You got it.  You can grab numbers 6 & 7 for FREE to try in your classroom.  Click HERE to grab your copy.
If you grab it I would love for you to rate it.  :)
